Harmony Marine Shipbrokers provides specialist vessels for Anchorsholme Outfall pipeline tow
A 2-mile outfall pipe arrived off the coast of Blackpool on the morning of 9th August towed by “Union Bear” (HMSTUG 585) , This 20,000t pipeline tow was the longest tow of its kind in the UK, after a 220 mile journey from Northern Ireland. It will be sunk into the sea floor as part of a major project by United Utilities to improve the quality of bathing waters along the Lancashire coast
Harmony Marine Shipbrokers (HMS) provided the main towing tug (HMSTUG 585) and two of the 11 other support vessels for the project- Support tug “Mustang” (HMSTUG 599) & Multicat “Nero” (HMSMC 015)
